OMF tournament ideas

  • Britain Open
  • Scandinavian Challenge (jaguar, thorn, pyros, flail, nova)
  • Sahara Challenge (shadow, gargoyle, shredder)
  • Jupiter Challenge (pyros, electra, chronos)
  • ART Invitational (jaguar, shredder, gargoyle)
  • WAR Industrial Invitational (jaguar, katana, nova)
  • Ganymede Championship (Try for high powered version of 1 player)

Open, Challenge, Invitational, Championship, can work as 4 types of tournaments. Open is starting tournaments that are open to all comers no matter the experience. Challenge tries to be more specific in purpose and more themed in some ways. Invitational means you need enough reputation to be invited and tends to be general elitist. Championship will naturally be a competition for a top spot of some sort.

Sit down with calc and write up all the pilots, guess their estimate world origin, age and likely skill level. So I can start picking them for specific themed tournaments.

OG4

  • North American Open (entry level, basic)
  • Katushai Challenge (?)
  • WAR Invitational (?)
  • World Championship (All contestants, high earnings, prestigious title)

Ideally I'd make 4 tournaments, to make 1 alternative to each of those, so players can go in different directions if they don't like a particular tournament. Or if they want to go all new or all old. I can probably make the alternative to NorthAm a little bit harder, and I want an alternative to WC that is shorter.
