====== Tournaments ====== One Must Fall: Battlegrounds has a singleplayer component comprised of several tournaments to participate in. A couple of these are descended from [[omf2097:tournaments|One Must Fall: 2097 tournaments]], but most are new. In an homage to 2097's "unranked challengers", destroying Spike in the fourth round of the North American Open results in him hijacking you into a grudge match. This is the only secret match in the game. NOTE: These tournaments are //not// analogous to 2097's tournament mode; there is no creating your own pilot or customizing your HAR. Instead, it's more like 2097's singleplayer mode, except with your choice of campaigns. ===== North American Open ===== Main article: [[omfbg:tournaments:North American Open]] >Hungry rookies attend hoping to defeat the reigning champion Raven. Due to Raven's mystical ability to avoid defeat, many prestigious opponents avoid this tournament for fear of humiliation. >>- In-game description Apparently [[omf2097:tournaments#north_american_open|this tournament]] has been going strong for almost two decades. Free-for-all Last Man Standing tournament with a 2-point limit. 5 matches and 1 secret match. - Welcome - Wild Science - Intensity - Sabotage - Vendetta (secret) - Raven Winning the final match unlocks the North American Open trophy, the Redemption, HAR Master (Jaguar), and Ultimate Warrior tournaments, and the following pilots: - Stacy - Gracy - Spike - Jormund - Professor - Cho-Dox - Brick - Sato - Dr. Lithius - Ciaran The script tries to unlock Professor twice, and Ciaran is unlocked regardless of whether or not you fight in Vendetta. Suki, Velocity, and Raven aren't unlocked despite being fought against. He vows to redeem himself through a series of exhibition matches. Last Man Standing with a 3-point limit. Special informational pads circle the arena; walk over them to receive more information. ==== Practice ==== Like Advanced Training without the information pads.
